Art for the Masses

I moved to California in 1978. John and his wife Phyllis became my family. They welcomed me and whomever I brought over, a successive series of girlfriends, my future wife, Donna and of course, our children. Their home became our place of warmth and love through successive crises, celebrations and holidays. This blog celebrates and honors my love for them and an investigation of art from a very subjective point of view.

Performance

I just posted my performance with my son, Joey that we did at a fundraiser at Analy. It was great fun. It has also got me thinking about doing performance when I leave teaching. I went to a Travel Workshop on Saturday with lots of cruises. They hire entertainment regularly. I was thinking that ideally a duet with Joey would be great but he is free only in the summers. Many of these cruises want you on a nine month contract and only pay from $60 to $100 per day. I will give it some more thought.

About Me

My photo
sebastopoledward
I work at a small private career college. My most important work is teaching a course that helps students improve their own self image by eliminating negative self-talk, practicing affirmations and positive visualizations. I have been a long time artist and musician. I presently open my studio in Sebastopol, once a year to visitors in June. I paint abstract landscapes and other things. I sing jazz standards and play several instruments. I have recently joined the Hubbub Club. My daughter is up and coming singer songwriter (Anna Lynch Band). I enjoy travel, art, music, massage, and meeting new people around the world.
